Recommended Hardware
StreamShuttle should support any cameras that support RTP/RTSP or Onvif (IP camera discovery protocol). Usually searching through the reviews for "rtsp" or "onvif" will give you a good idea of whether or not the device will work.
If you have a camera you know works well please let us know and we'll get it added to list asap.
Gotchas
Amcrest
Many of the "SmartHome" branded cameras tend to require the app for some features like two-way audio to work. Generally basic audio / video will still work as expected. This may change in the future but for now its best to avoid the "SmartHome" branded items.
Reolink
Some Reolink cameras have an issue where the video stream latency increases over time. The feed will initially only be a second or two behind as expected, but after running for a day it may be 10 seconds or more behind. This issue is not StreamShuttle specific.

Example configurations can be imported when creating a new device. Making it as easy as possible to get up and running with known devices.

Replace 192.168.1.100 with your cameras IP address in RTSP Host field.
